The 1st Wuzhou International Jewel Festival
The 1st Wuzhou International Jewel Festival began on Nov. 1st, 2004 and lasted for two days. Over 1,000 guests and jewel merchants from home and 22 countries and regions abroad such as United States, Russia, Germany, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Macao, etc. were present. During the Festival, 83 projects were signed with a foreign investment value of $178,200,000.00 and a domestic investment capital of RMB1.59757 billions. The success of hosting such a large-scale, high-class international jewel festival was quite rare for a prefecture-level city, which symbolized Wuzhou’s entering into a new chapter of the development of the synthetic jewel industry and promoted the publicity of the synthetic jewels from Wuzhou in international market as well as the city’s grade and competitiveness, thus built a new platform for the rapid development of Wuzhou’s economy.

The 2nd Wuzhou International Jewel Festival
The 2nd Wuzhou International Jewel Festival was successfully held from Sep. 27th to Oct. 5th, 2005 with a nine days’ duration. Over 3,000 businessmen from 12 countries and regions, such as America, Italy, Japan, Thailand, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao, etc. attended the festival, and 31 projects were signed with a total investment amount of RMB 2.06 billions and the transactions of over RMB 260,000,000.00 on the trading of jewels, ornaments, raw materials and relevant products.

The 3rd Wuzhou International Jewel Festival?
The 3rd Wuzhou International Jewel Festival was held from Sep. 28th to Oct. 6th, 2006. 845 enterprises from home and abroad, 1,350 guests and attending businessmen as well as 3,388 exhibitors were present with the transaction amount reaching RMB 358,220,000 and the number of visitors reaching 88,000. The Festival of this year was considered the most influential and biggest economics and trade exhibition event on scale, class and attendance by then.

The 4th Wuzhou International Jewel Festival
The 4th Wuzhou International Jewel Festival was held from Nov. 1st to 5th, 2007. During this period, 34 projects were successfully signed with the total contractual investment of RMB 2.833 billions. In this year, Wuzhou was also awarded the title of the Distinguished Production Base of Jewel & Jade Ornaments in China by China Gemological Association this year.

The 5th Wuzhou International Jewel Festival
The 5th Wuzhou International Jewel Festival was held from Oct. 31st to Nov. 4th, 2008 which attracted more than 1,100 guests and businessmen from Germany, Italy, India, Pakistan, Burma, Laos, Philippines and Thailand, etc. During this period, 41 projects, 16 of which were with investment of over RMB 100 millions, were signed with the total capital amount of RMB 7.949 billions, including contractual investment of RMB 3.739 billions and framework agreement of RMB 4.21 billions. |
